OUR STORY
It has been a privilege to grow up in different ways of life. The inspiration behind Kojiology came from my mother. When she was young, she lived a very natural holistic lifestyle, gardening herbs and spices. She assured me what we were getting ingredients from the earth, have a great nutrient and have a lot of purpose in our life. We used herbs and plants as herbal remedies, called Jamu (or Djamoe). Jamu is a traditional medicine from Indonesia. The mashing of fresh plants into healing beverages, a practice that has been going on for centuries in various islands of the Indian Ocean. When I was a little girl, we would have Jamu before seeing a doctor because it is cheaper and easier than modern medicine and made for your individual needs.
Following my passion and the understanding of herbal knowledge, for its impact, for increasing overall health, curing ailments, and improving the skin’s appearance, this then led me on a journey which creating Kojiology.
Kojiology was directly inspired by my heritage which combined with Eastern and Western cultures to embody natural beauty.

- Handcrafted from scratch in the Waikato region in a clean and love-filled environment. Each item is hand-crafted in micro-batches in our small, dedicated workshop. We source the best botanical ingredients from all over the world, from farms are in our local area and farms across New Zealand. We work closely with our suppliers to make sure all our ingredients are safe and reliable to provide our customers the most value possible.
- Sustainable and affordable. Sustainability has been a key focus for our business since the beginning. We concentrate our sourcing efforts on renewable resources sourced using sustainable methods to deliver green, naturally derived ingredients to our customers.
